Kirk Muller has been an associate coach with the Montreal Canadiens since June 2016 after two seasons as an assistant coach with the St. Louis Blues, helping the franchise reach the Western Conference Finals in 2015-16. He was previously a member of the Canadiens coaching staff from 2006 to 2011. Mr. Muller’s playing career in the NHL started in 1984 after being selected second overall by New Jersey. He later spent a little more than three seasons with the Canadiens, including one as team captain (1994-1995) and was instrumental in leading the franchise to its 24th Stanley Cup, netting the Cup-winning goal in the fifth and final game of the Finals on June 9, 1993. This was the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup.
During the off-season, thanks to his 25+ years of NHL playing and coaching experience, Kirk Muller runs an elite hockey camp serving the Kingston area that helps players of all ages learn the skills needed to excel in today’s fast paced game.
